Frequently Asked Questions

What is this for?

The Floris Elementary PTA Fun Run is a school-wide fundraiser which gives our students the opportunity to have fun, be active, and take the lead in fundraising money for their school. At the conclusion of the fundraising period, the students will have a FUN RUN! 100% of all donations will directly support the PTA’s Annual Budget.

What is the money going towards?

The money raised will go towards the PTA's Annual Budget which helps fund the Science Fair, PE Field Days, Bingo Nights, Spelling Bee, Popsicle Social, Green Team, Math Counts, and so much more!

Are we using a fundraising company?

No. We are hosting our own fundraiser so all the money raised goes back to the school.

Will there be incentives and prizes?

Yes! There will be prizes based on the amount of money each child raises and effort they put into participating. Prizes will be handed out on Wednesdays and Fridays over the course of the fundraising period. Please complete your donations by Tuesday and Thursday at 8am so that your child receives their prize on Wednesday or Friday.

What should the students wear?

Floris Spirit Wear and school colors (royal blue, white, yellow)! Students should wear comfortable clothing for exercise and appropriate shoes (no crocs or sandals!). This is a FUN RUN so clothing and accessories that show your school spirit are encouraged! Get creative with hair chalk, wild socks, tutus, etc. Please note, no weapons or masks allowed. Spirit Wear is available for sale here.

What if it rains?

We will have a rain date set.

Can I come cheer on my child?

You may come cheer on your child during their designated time slot or sign up to volunteer during the run.

Each grade level has a 30 minute segment for students to participate in the run.
